Yeoman Haylage are happy to be supporting top local show-jumper Sammy-Jo Coffin from St Austell in Cornwall as she’s taken eleven of her top show-jumpers to participate in the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour in Southern Portugal.

Held at one of Europe’s finest show-jumping facilities, the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre – close to the beautiful beaches and holiday resort of Vilamoura, two of the biggest show jumping events in the international calendar will be hosted there – the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour and the Vilamoura Champions Tour.

Running from February 16th until April 3rd this superb venue will draw many of the top stars all vying for the coveted trophies and prizes in the world of show-jumping.

A show-jumper all her life, Sammy-Jo has notched up several prestigious titles that only the top few can ever dream of winning. She’s a regular at Hickstead and Horse of the Year and has a string of titles under her belt already and she’s only in her early twenties.

Partnering Sammy-Jo is her beautiful chestnut horse Willem de Lux, who Sammy-Jo says is a legend and is her top horse. Willem has taken Sammy-Jo to victory on numerous occasions that include winning a Derby Trophy at Hickstead, the Horse of the Year Show, the winter finals and numerous County Shows.

More of Sammy-Jo’s top horses in Portugal with Willem are Bellamy who won the Foxhunter Masters at the Scope Festival, Zig Zag won the international stairways and placed in the Hickstead Speed Derby. Follyfoot Dolce Vita who won the 5 year old final at the young horse finals qualifying for the world finals so it sounds like Sammy-Jo could well be returning with a few more prizes if all goes well.

Having just left Cornwall for the next eight weeks with Yeoman Haylage bales on the roof of her horse transporter, Sammy-Jo said “Yeoman Haylage is a fantastic product, super packaging enables it to be very easy to use and stack. Willem loves it”.

John Bosley and his team at Yeoman Haylage are delighted that Sammy-Jo’s horses will be fuelled by Yeoman Haylage and wish her the best of luck.

“I have been using Yeoman Haylage for several years now for my show-jumpers, including the winner of the Hickstead Derby and they always thrive and look well on Yeoman haylage. Importantly the small haylage bales are easy to transport so the horses don’t have any change in their feed when away at shows.”
