Holding her own amongst a strong field, 21 year old Clementine Montgomerie from Tetbury in Gloucestershire riding her brilliant 16.3 hh bay gelding Sherbert Slim, took first place in the BE100 at Pontispool Horse Trials on Sunday 22nd September, sponsored by Yeoman Haylage.
Winning on her dressage score of 27.5 with clear rounds in the show jumping and cross country, Clementine was delighted to win her first BE event on her super talented 6 year old.
Clementine said the course rode really well as it always does at Pontispool and Sherbert Slim gave her a good ride. She’s back off to University in the next couple of days so will have to wait to 2020 to compete again but in the meantime, Sherbert Slim is off to hunt with the Beaufort with Clementines younger sister. He’s going to love that for sure!
